I was hesitant to try this one, but it was a big hit! So without further ado:
For Chocolate Bottom:
1 1/2 sticks margerine softened
1 box brownie mix
Mix brownie mix with the margerine until a stiff almost crumbly dough forms. Press into the bottom of a 9×13 pan and cook at 350 for 15 minutes. Do not overcook!
For Lemon Filling:
1 1/2 Cups sugar
4 Tablespoons Flour
4 Teaspoons shredded lemon peel
6 Tablespoons Lemon Juice (the juice from about 2 lemons)
1/4 Teaspoon Baking Powder
While bottom is baking mix all ingredients together with mixer. Pour filling over baked layer. Bake 20 minutes or until lightly browned around the edges. When cool top with powdered sugar.
