With holiday baking coming up soon, I thought I would share a tip that saves me a lot of time in kitchen cleanup. When we finish a box of cereal, I dump the crumbs out of the inside bag that held the cereal, and open it up along the seams so it lays flat. I wipe it off with a cloth to get any extra crumbs off and then fold it up and save it in an empty sandwich bag box. I use them when I knead bread or make cookies that need to be rolled out. They are perfect because they are a bit slippery, so dough doesn’t stick to them and I don’t have to use as much flour. When I’m done I just fold the mess inside and throw it away. I also use them as a mat underneath craft projects to keep the table clean and when my son plays with playdough.
